"Global Studies, Peace & Leadership" was the theme of the summer seminar held in Hiroshima Jogakuin University, August 3 to 9, 2012 under sponsorship of the Wesley Foundation. Seminar participants and speakers including representative came from USA, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, and Japan.
One remarkable event was a panel consisting of Mr. Clifton Daniel Truman, the grandson of former USA president, Harry Truman, Mr. Ali Beezer, the grandson of the Enola Gay pilot, Mr.
Masahiro Sasaki
,m brother of Sadako who died from the radiation related illness and well known for folding thousands of paper cranes, and Mr.
Yuuji Sasaki, Sadako's nephew. They shared their points of view about peace aimed especially to younger generation.
In these six days of study, the students, faculties, and speakers shared their thoughts on "Peace." Recognizing that we must be the example of powerful message of peace in our global society.
